First run in 1992 and sponsored by the Lakeview Fitness & Sports Center, the Links to Lake 5K holds the distinction of being the only point-to-point race on the Grand Prix circuit. This course is scenic and very fast, with a 200 ft. drop in elevation from the golf course to the lake. The course attracts many runners with expectations of setting PRs. Vans transport runners from the finish and back to Lakeview for post-race refreshments. The awards presentation includes 100 customized awards courtesy of Mountaineer Corner and random prize drawings!

WHERE: Lakeview Fitness & Sports Center in Morgantown, WV
Exit 10 off of I-68, 10 miles east of South Morgantown, exit of I-79 (exit 148)

Run- Top 3 Male & Female Overall Finishers and in each of the following age groups:
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & Over

Walk- Top 2 Male & Female Overall Finishers and in each of the following age groups:
19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.
(Course will be monitored for compliance with race walking rules.)

COURSE: The route is very scenic, very fast, 3.1 mile course, Point-to-Point USA Track & Field Certified, (cert. code #WV95034RT). The starting line is located on the upper parking area of the Lakeview Scanticon Resort & Conference Center. The finish line is located just up the hill from the entrance to Mont Chateau Beach on Cheat Lake. Water will be available on the course. Split times will be given at the 1 & 2 mile markers. Parking is available at the finish line.

ENTRY FEE:
$11.00 race fee if it's postmarked on or before August 6, 1999
Race fee is $13.00 after this date and on race day.

T-SHIRTS: All pre-registered entrants will receive a T-Shirt. First come first serve on race day.

RANDOM PRIZES: All registered entrants will be eligible for the random prize drawings following the race. Winners must be present.
