Jim Dunn Memorial Scholarship: Will benefit a local high school senior athlete continuing in track or cross country in college. Last year's scholarship was awarded to Eric Frohnapfel from Marshall University. Find out more at jimdunnrun.com.

Race Perks: The cost of dinner and beverages is included in the registration fee for runners and individual walkers. Oliverio's Ristorante will provide dinner; chicken, pasta, salad and breadsticks.

5-Mile Run Course: Runners will start at the Wharf Street Parking
Garage in the Wharf District near Oliverio's
Ristorante. The race proceeds up onto Don
Knotts Boulevard before turning left at Foundry
Street and onto the paved rail trail. Runners
make their way northwest along the Caperton
trail to the WVU Core Arboretum. (5 miles)

Upon entering the Arboretum, the runners will encounter a quarter mile of single-track dirt trail until they reach the mid-point of the loop back on the trail. Runners will then return on the Caperton trail the final 2+ miles to the finish on the rail trail behind Oliverio's Ristorante. The course is downhill or flat except for a slight uphill upon entering the Core Arboretum.
2-Mile Walk Course: Beginning with all race participants walkers will go left on the trail to a turn around point past the locks on the river and return to the finish line behind Oliverio's Ristorante. (2 miles)
Family Fun Walk: Participants will receive Dunn Dollars worth a 25% discount at Wings Ole and may enjoy the BOPARC movie "Unaccompanied Minors" at Hazel Ruby McQuain Amphitheater at dusk. Awards dinner not included.
