Coverage: [2006] [2007]

The Cheat 100 returns after a 5 year hiatus. The race was previously held in 2006 and 2007 by former WVMBA president, and infamous mountain man, Greg Moore. We will use the same course used in 2007. The race will start at Pioneer 4-H Camp. After a neutral roll-out, the race will ascend a 12 mile gravel road climb to the top of Cheat Mountain on Public Road 92. OUCH!! Racers will then ride 3 loops off 92 via Yokum Ridge, Crouch Ridge, and Whitmeadow Ridge before finishing on Public Road 92 at the top of Cheat Mountain. Racers will then, at their leisure, ride the 15 miles back to the 4-H camp, including the 12 mile downhill. The course is approximately 40 miles, plus the 15 mile return.

Primitive camping is free Friday evening. Registration opens at 7:30 am Saturday morning. The race starts at 9:00am.

Directions: From Elkins, WV, go south on Rt. 219 to Beverly. In Beverly, turn left on Files Creek Road. Travel approximately 3 miles to 4-H Camp Road. Turn right and you're there!
