If you register for Athena or Clydesdale, you will not need to

Please note that active.com charges a 6.5% + $0.50 fee for use of
on-line registration. This is NOT a BOPARC fee.
All participants will receive a t-shirt, fruit and drink
after each race completes.
Friday, August 24, KIDS Triathlon at 6:00 p.m.
- Swim // 66 yards (2 lengths of Marilla Pool)
- Bike // 1.5 miles
- Run // .5 miles
Short course for kids under 14.
The focus of the Kids race is fun and participation, therefore the Kids race WILL NOT BE TIMED. Kids must be able to swim unassisted (no help from parents or floating devices). Kids under 14 are allowed in the Adult/Team races if they are physically qualified to do so. Each kid will receive a participant award as they finish their race.
Saturday, August 25, Adults and Teams
- Swim // 330 yards (10 x lengths of Marilla Pool)
- Bike // 11 miles on paved rail trail from Marilla Park to Star City and back
- Run // 5 kilometers from Marilla Park east toward Summer School Road and back
- Mandatory Race Meeting: is on Wednesday, August 22 at 6:30 pm!
- Types of Teams: All Male, All Female, Mixed, and Family
- Age Categories: Under 20; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over.

The the race crew is proud to announce the return of the Sprint Splash n Spin. This great community event promotes individual and community health and wellness, plus an added bonus the proceeds generated from this event assist Mon County Habitat for Humanity in providing affordable housing for those in need in Monongalia County.
Individual heats begin between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Relay heats will begin at approximately 12:00 p.m. Exact start times dependent on number of participants. Start times are never guaranteed!
Awards
The Adults and Teams awards ceremony will begin immediately after the race followed by a Family Fun Day at Marilla Pool. Pool and slides will be open for FREE for all participants, families and volunteers. Entertainment and refreshments will be available.

Awards will be given to overall male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, male and female winners in each age category (1st, 2nd, 3rd), the 1st , 2nd and 3rd place team in each relay category (male, female, mixed, family).
There is also categories for, Athena and Clydesdale. Athena entrants are women over 150 lbs, and Clydesdale entrants are over 200 lbs. If you are entering in one of these two new categories please make sure to fill out the weight category on the online entry form and you will not need to register by gender and age.

Under 20; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over
Timing
The Triathlon on Saturday will be scored by SERJ using tag pull timing system. Each racer needs to have the tag on when they cross the finish line.
Volunteers Needed
We need your help to make this another successful event. If you would like to volunteer for manning the trail, distributing water to participants, directing participants in the transition area, or helping in various other ways with the event.

6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
All volunteers will be required to attend a one-hour orientation meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marilla Center. If you have questions about being a volunteer call (304) 292-0914.
