About:
Finley Pletcher is the 6 year old daughter of Jennifer and Mathew Pletcher and the granddaughter of Ted and Phyllis Kovall and Ben and Sally Pletcher. Finley has been diagnosed with a rare eye condition called Lebers Congenital Amaurosis RDH12. This condition will cause her to go completely blind by the time she is a teenager. Currently there is no cure. Her family raises money for research that is being conducted to find a cure and keep her from going blind. All proceeds fro this event will be for research to find a cure for Finley's RDH12. Please join us and help us reach our goal of $20,000 at this race so that our quest for a cure can continue.
Race details:
The cost of the event includes the race, a race shirt, lunch, and access to the bounce house and face painting for the kids. We will also be holding a basket raffle during the event and will have live music.
- pre-registration - $20/person or $55/family (of 3 or more) - you get participation in any of the races, a shirt, personalized braille bookmark, and lunch.
- Day of race: $25/person or $60/family (3 or more) - participation in any of the races, a shirt, and lunch.
- Spirit Runner: Don't want to race? You can still participate! For $18/person/$50/family (3 or more) you get a shirt, personalized brailled bookmark and lunch.
- Lunch only: - $5/person. - NO shirt Children under Three are FREE (for lunch and registration) - NO shirt
- Shirt only - $10
We are also having a basket raffle. You can buy tickets ahead of time if you want, and we will have your tickets in your race packet the day of the race. Then you can put the tickets in the baskets of your choice. If you choose to do this, you can include that cost into your race registration check.
- Basket raffle tickets for the SILVER raffle are: $2/ticket, $5/6 tickets, or $20/25 tickets.
- Basket raffle (Disney tickets with Disney basket, American Girl, Quilt, and Bikes) - $5/basket or $40/10 tickets.
Location: The event is held on the Yough River Trail in Connellsville, PA

- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male/female in the 5K walk/run and 10K run (trophies are hand carved brailled/print wood trophies - beautiful)
- 1st place male/female in the 1 mile fun run
