Event Rules

General

1. All racers must be registered for the event and must have signed the appropriate event waiver before the start.

2. Please be respectful and courteous to other trail users, racers, and volunteers.

3. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and is room for immediate disqualification.

4. Appeals and protest must be submitted to the race director no later than 15 minutes following the last finisher.

5. It is the participants responsibility to know the course and follow the course markings. Cutting the course is grounds for disqualification. Volunteers will note bib numbers at each turn around.

6. Trash and equipment can not be discarded on the course except at designated trash/aid stations.

7. Please avoid using headphones or other devices that will limit your ability to utilize all of your senses to the fullest during the event. If you must wear headphones, please be extra sensitive to your location on the trail and your proximity to other runners. (i.e. stay to the right and look behind you before turning or shifting suddenly)

8. Assistance or support from non-registered persons is not allowed. This is an individual event but sportsmanship is encouraged.

Run

1. At the race starting area, please attempt to seed yourself appropriately in the crowd based upon your planned pace.

2. Racers must follow the planned route for the race. Course signage and volunteers will direct racers but it is ultimately the runners responsibility to know the course and complete it as required.

3. Racers may only travel on foot during the race. Isnt it funny that this is a rule?

4. Due to the narrowness of the trail at times, please avoid running more than two abreast.

5. Please run on the right half of the path and try not to obstruct the trail when others are behind you who may wish to pass. Also keep to the right side when oncoming runners are approaching.

6. Please make sure your race bib number is visible from the front as you finish.
