This event will benefit a local high school senior athlete continuing in track or cross country in college. Last year's scholarship was awarded to Eric Frohnapfel from Marshall University. Food & Beverages: The cost of dinner and beverages is included in the registration fee for runners and individual walkers. Oliverio's Ristorante will provide dinner (chicken, pasta, salad and breadsticks). Two coupons per registered participant can be redeemed for legal beverages provided by Mona Supply. 5-Mile Run Course: Runners will be staged at the Wharf Street Parking Garage in the Wharf District near Oliverio's Restaurant. Following Clay Street to Mechanic Street, runners will turn left on Don Knotts Boulevard, cross Decker's Creek, take a left at Garrett Street and right onto the Caperton rail trail. The course continues northwest on the paved trail to the WVU Core Arboretum.
Upon entering the Arboretum, runners will encounter a quarter mile of single-track dirt trail until the mid-point of the loop back on the rail trail. Runners will complete the final two miles on the rail trail to the finish line at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Riverfront Park - just before the Decker's Creek Bridge. Except for a slight uphill approach to the WVU Core Arboretum, the course is primarily flat or downhill.
2-Mile Walk for Individuals or Families: Walkers will go south on the trail to a turnaround point past the Morgantown Lock and Dam and return to the finish line behind Oliverio's Restaurant.
Awards: Awards sponsored by First United Bank will be presented at a ceremony held at the Wharf Street Parking Garage following the race.

- Age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Additional Information: All paid participants will be entered to win two tickets to Bush Gardens in Williamsburg, VA and $200 spending money, donated by Mona Supply. Drawing to be held at the Awards Ceremony, must be present to win.
Loray Robinson from Magic 106.5, WV Radio Corporation will entertain during dinner. Boparc Movies on the Mon will be playing Kitt Kittredge: An American Girl on a gigantic screen at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. Admission is free. The "Mountaineer Sports from 1982-2001" by Dale Sparks Collection will be on display/sale during registration and dinner.

To Benefti: Jim Dunn Memorial Scholarship will benefit a high school senior athlete continuing in track or cross country in college. Last year's scholarship was awarded to State Cross Country Champion, Ryan Beabout of Wheeling Park.
